1. Get in early to avoid disqualification: One of the most common reasons why people get disqualified from surveys is because they applied too late. A market research company’s budget is not infinite, so they only pay for a certain number of responses. If you apply once the company has received an adequate number of responses, you will be disqualified. To keep this from happening, make sure to check your emails and survey account regularly for new surveys.

2. Be honest: Survey companies monitor your responses and if they feel like you are rushing through the survey or submitting inconsistent responses, you will be disqualified. Never try to answer what you think the survey company wants to hear. Just answer honestly and you have a better chance of getting more surveys.

3. Take your time: Survey companies reward their best survey-takers with surveys that pay well more frequently. But you won’t become a top survey taker by rushing through surveys. Make sure to take your time when answering questions, so the survey site actually benefits from your responses.

4. Read the rules: Many people start taking surveys without reading the rules and then wonder why they were disqualified. For instance, if the rules state that the survey is only open to people above 60 years, don’t take the survey if you are a 28-year-old. If the survey is only open to veterans, don’t take the survey unless you are one. It may seem like a waste of your time, but ensure that you read the guidelines in detail before you take any survey.
